Shabbat is a pair of handcrafted candle holders made of durable stoneware, designed to honor the tradition of lighting candles for Shabbat. The Hebrew word שבת (Shabbat) is subtly woven into the structure of the piece, with the letterforms reimagined as sculptural elements that shape the object itself.
This meaningful piece reflects the signature design language of ABS Objects—where Hebrew typography, local culture, and Jewish ritual converge through a contemporary lens. Inspired by Israeli visual identity, from vintage logos to modern graphics, Shabbat transforms text into form and function.

Each ABS Objects piece is made by hand in our Tel Aviv studio using high-quality stoneware, fired at 1200°C. Expect slight variations in shape, glaze, and color—these are signs of the object's handmade nature. Handle ceramics with care, especially delicate parts like handles and rings. All ceramics are food safe. Hand wash only. Avoid dishwashers. Do not place ceramics on open flames or stovetops. Suitable for microwave and oven heating. Unglazed areas may absorb natural pigments (coffee, tea, spices). Use items only for their intended purpose.
