A series of handcrafted ceramic utensils designed specifically for serving the beloved Middle Eastern hummus spread. The project explores the diverse cultural rituals and gestures associated with eating hummus, emphasizing its role as an iconic and communal food in local culinary identity.

Each object in the series represents a different social dynamic or memory:

  1. Collective Memory — Circular Movement Dish

  2. Collective Memory — Linear Movement Dish

  3. Street Food — Takeaway Form

  4. Hierarchy — A Vessel for Mixing Ingredients

  5. Sharing — A Dish Meant for Togetherness

Through playful yet thoughtful forms, Zoom in Hummus invites reflection on how everyday design can embody local culture, psychology, and social values.
