Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak
Letter Tiles for Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak 2025
Architects: Yael Friedlander and Danielle Kedem | Photography: Nimrod Levy
The tile installation was created for Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak, which underwent renovation following the tragic events of October seventh, with the support of various organizations. The renewal of the kibbutz kindergarten was led by architects Yael Friedlander and Danielle Kedem, carried out with great care, sensitivity, and attention to detail.
The letter tiles were specially created for the kindergarten. The work refers to artist walls that were once an integral part of public buildings in kibbutzim throughout Israel, and serves as a tribute to Israeli art. The piece consists of twenty three hand painted and glazed ceramic tiles, presenting the full Hebrew alphabet. Each letter appears in a different color and in an original typeface designed by Avi Ben Shoshan.

Each piece/ project is created slowly by hand and designed to live naturally within its architectural setting. Whether for a private home, a public building, or a hospitality space. Every project is developed specifically for its environment, creating a timeless and thoughtful integration between art, material, and interior design.
